Study of breast biopsies finds surgery used too extensively

A study has found that about a third of breast biopsies are surgical, even though medical guidelines say the rate should be 10 percent or less.

It’s a front page story in the New York Times and an article from the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services at healthfinder.gov .
